This is very true. I did have a narcissistic mother, although not to the point of malignancy. She did breed feelings of self doubt in me, that I thankfully overcame as an adult. Because of this, I was very cognizant of building self confidence in my children. When dealing with any narcissist, it is very important not to develop a victim mentality.
