A quick post with a hat tip for Viva Frei for posting this today.
Bill Gates:
"It's pretty clear because young people don't get sick from the disease very often."
"That we probably, if we knew everything that we know today, we would have shut schools down a lot less than we did during this pandemic."
Who are "we" Bill Gates? What authority did or does Bill Gates and whoever "we" are have to make these decisions?
Never mind the fact that Gates is openly admitting that “oops we made a mistake in hindsight” he’s also casually mentioning that he’s somehow very much involved in decision making here.
This is why we, as a society and I mean globally, have to stop this authoritarianism that leads to unelected people like Gates to openly and brazenly state that he decides who does what.
I don’t care if Bill Gates founded Microsoft and is a billionaire several times over.
None of that gives him or anyone else who isn’t a duly elected representative of our respective governments any authority to make decisions such as school closures which affect the lives of children and parents all over the country and the world.
What should be very obvious to everyone globally is that we cannot let unelected government bureaucrats like health department heads like Fauci have autonomy over who does what because they won’t suffer the consequences of those decisions where elected officials will.
It’s time we start holding everyone in government to the same standards. Too many backroom deals are done by giving people like this powerful positions in government by elected officials and once they’re in, they’re in for life.
This needs to change.
We can’t allow our republic to be run by bureaucrats and billionaires.
