The Tender Trap

The Tender Trap was a movie from 1955 starring Frank Sinatra (who’s acting typically doesn’t get the credit he deserved as he was actually an amazing actor as well as one of the greatest vocalists of all time) that was about a playboy who envies his married friend’s lifestyle and vice-versa.

Frank Sinatra and Debbie Reynolds from the 1955 movie The Tender Trap

There’s also a song written for the film that Sinatra did called (Love Is) The Tender Trap.

Here are the lyrics:

You see a pair of laughing eyes
And suddenly you’re sighing sighs
You're thinking nothing's wrong
You string along, boy, then snap!

Those eyes, those sighs, they're part of the tender trap

You're hand in hand beneath the trees
And soon there's music in the breeze
You're acting kind of smart, until your heart just goes whap!

Those trees, that breeze, they're part of the tender trap

Some starry night, when her kisses make you tingle
She'll hold you tight, and you'll hate yourself for being single

And all at once it seems so nice
The folks are throwing shoes and rice
You hurry to a spot, that's just a dot on the map

You're hooked, you're cooked, you're caught in the tender trap

Some starry night, when her kisses make you tingle
She'll hold you tight, and you'll hate yourself for being single

And all at once it seems so nice
The folks are throwing shoes and rice
You hurry to a spot that's just a dot on the map

And then you wonder how it all came about
It's too late now there's no gettin' out
You fell in love, and love is the tender trap

As you may have guessed, we’re not here to discuss Frank Sinatra, the movie, or the song. But any time I can work Ol’ Blue Eyes into an article, I’ll take the time and bandwidth.

So what’s the leadup about?

We are in a tender trap.

For the most part, we have been setup and captured and are now in a tender trap.

Slaves to the Banks

Slaves? Really? Isn’t that a harsh metaphor?

Nope. And here’s why.

First, what’s most important is that we need to truly understand what slavery actually is. Yes, being forcefully bound into servitude against one’s will is the most common thing we all think of when you hear that word. However, the image of people chained and manacled isn’t the final and true reality of what slavery actually is.

Slavery doesn’t necessarily need to involve physical cruelty in the sense of forced labor or any overt declaration that someone is actually ‘officially’ enslaved and that is our focus here.

Once we understand this, then we can truly see what is actually going on with the globalist agenda which we can now confidently identify as being led by the World Economic Forum or WEF led by Klaus Schwab and other maniacal billionaires.

See Transhumanism for more about this fun bunch of sociopathic megalomaniacs.

Here’s how Merriam-Webster defines slavery:

Look at definition c:

“A situation of practice in which people are entrapped (as by debt) and exploited”

Now, people can make the argument that even though they’re in debt, they’re not exploited. But is that really true?

Look at what’s happened just in higher education in the past 40+ years:

Understanding Rising The Higher Education Cost In The USA

Looking at the charts above from an article on HdfsTutorial by Deepak Mishra titled Understanding the Rising Cost of Higher Education they claim:

As per the report of Bloomberg, the cost of higher education in the USA has increased by 538% since 1985.

Needless to say, we all know that kids today virtually across the board (and/or their parents) are in debt for 10’s and 100’s of thousands of dollars before most graduates even have a foothold in their first job.

Housing costs have gone astronomical as well with the price of new homes getting out of reach for most young people starting out and rents have also increased to the point where it’s hard to get by.

Add the cost of living these days with gas prices driving prices higher and higher along with all the phony ‘shortages’ and we have an enslaved population.

It wasn’t too long ago where families had one source of income and could afford a home, raise a family and live pretty well.

None of this is news to anyone, but the point is, most people are so much in debt these days that the dream of actually being somewhat debt free is sadly out of reach.

So the reality is that most of the population is indebted to a financial institution in some way, shape, or form with regard to tuition, housing, transportation, and medical costs.

And this is by design.

The Debtor Class

We are in fact by and large a debtor class that is in an endless cycle of debt throughout most of our adult lives. And if we’re able to retire at a decent age, hopefully there aren’t any catastrophic medical bills that can easily sap a lifetime of savings if we have any...

This is a very sad reality that many Americans face and that is an absolutely unnecessary fate for folks who have worked hard all of their lives to do the right things.

What are the right things?

Own a home, raise a family, contribute to society in a positive way, and obey the law for starters.

Most of us do all of these things, but most of us also have the Sword of Damocles hanging over our heads throughout our lives.

Well you can just not look up I guess…

In the parable, Damocles decided he didn’t want to be in that situation any longer and was able to walk away, but most people don’t have that same option unfortunately.

How Does This Tie Into the Tender Trap?

What these examples illustrate is how we fall into the tender trap whether we’re aware or not and simply don’t have many or no options to avoid being indebted.

So we go along through our lives working hard and doing all of the above mentioned right things and throughout our lives we’re constantly in fear of losing it all.

But none of us are forced to do this. Which is why this is a tender trap.

We don’t have a choice unless you want to live in poverty.

This was a common bumper sticker back in the day - I just forget which day it was

Yeah But Look at Famous Rich People!

So what about people who make good and great money? What about actors and pro athletes who make ridiculous sums? They’re not slaves!

Are they????

Hell yes they are, even more than many of us “down here on the ground” as I like to say.

The more money you make for the most part, the more indebted you are to your lifestyle and if you want to continue making that kind of bread in your prime years, you likely are gonna have to toe the line.

Why do you think all those so-called news anchors who make $15 million a year are so eager to go on every single night and lie their asses off?

Why are so many high profile actors and athletes so woke?

Why are the stories and the writing on TV shows and movies such absolute garbage these days?

Because that’s what they’re TOLD TO do.

And they HAVE TO if they want to continue living the way they do.

This is the tender trap at it’s highest level.

This reminds me of another song that is very relevant to this situation:

Let’s look at these lyrics because they really drive this point home:

You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls

Chorus

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody
Well it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody

Might be a rock and roll addict prancing on the stage
Might have money and drugs at your commands, women in a cage
You may be a business man or some high degree thief
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief

Chorus

You may be a state trooper, you might be a young turk
You may be the head of some big TV network
You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame
You may be living in another country under another name

Chorus

You may be a construction worker working on a home
You may be living in a mansion you might live in a dome
You might own guns and you might even own tanks
You might be somebody's landlord you might even own banks

Chorus

You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side
You may be working in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair
You may be somebody's mistress, may be somebody's heir

Chorus

Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk
Might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread
May be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed

Chorus

You may call me Terry, you may call me Jimmy
You may call me Bobby, or you may call me Zimmy
You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray
You may call me anything no matter what you say

Chorus

By the way, it’s not lost on me that I’ve managed to work Bob Dylan, who I think is an absolutely terrible singer, in with one of the best of all time with Sinatra, but I digress..

So the tender trap is this; we all want to live as comfortably as we can and try to control our destiny as much as we can, but it’s pretty much impossible to without serving somebody.

Which is definition c above:

“A situation of practice in which people are entrapped (as by debt) and exploited”

So don’t think for a minute that even though most of us go through our lives without being overtly exploited, let’s not kid ourselves either, there are plenty of times in our lives where we have to do things that we’re not comfortable with doing to be able to continue on with what we’re doing.

Hopefully, most of us choose not to do things that would harm others or avoid compromising who we really are, but there are plenty who do and will and have no qualms about doing whatever’s demanded of them.

Take a look at all the evil that’s been and is still being exposed in our world. Unthinkable things that many of us thought humans aren’t capable of doing or we thought have long ago stopped happening.

Nothing could be further from the truth, as seemingly things are worse in some places than we’ve ever seen or heard compared to most of history.

Just have a look at what’s gone on in Ukraine over the past decade to put that notion to rest pretty quickly.

Dylan correctly points out in this song that no matter who you are, you have to answer to someone and the line “Well it may be the devil or it may be the Lord” really illustrates what we’re now finding to be the absolute truth:

We either sell our souls or we get on the right path.

Let’s hope there are more who want to be there than those who don’t…
